Based in Floyd, Virginia, Little River Lumberyard specializes in salvaged and responsibly harvested timber, milling trees that were slated for removal or disposal into quality lumber instead of letting them go to waste.
Over the years, Bill and Corinne have become more than just a supplier. They have been generous mentors, sharing their deep knowledge of wood selection, milling, and the craft itself. That relationship has shaped the way we work and the standards we hold for every piece of lumber that comes into the shop.

Berkshire Products has built one of the most extensive slab inventories in the industry, sourcing hardwoods from around the world. From domestic species to rare and exotic finds, their selection covers nearly every wood a job could call for, especially when a piece needs serious size or character.
Berkshire has become a go-to resource whenever a job calls for something beyond what’s available locally, like the large Afromosia slab below, sourced through Berkshire for a piece that called for something truly exceptional.

Goby Walnut Products has spent decades sourcing and milling some of the finest walnut in the Pacific Northwest. Their reputation for exceptional figure and scale makes them a trusted source whenever a piece calls for something extraordinary.
Goby is based in Oregon, far enough away that Woodford can’t just walk the yard and hand-pick every slab in person. That distance makes trust essential, and it’s trust Goby has earned over several years of sourcing together, especially whenever a job calls for something truly spectacular. Few suppliers can match the scale of what Goby carries, slabs big enough to anchor a room on their own. The book-matched set below comes from their Sauvie Collection, milled from the largest walnut tree in North America, and Woodford has several more slabs from that same tree, waiting for the right client and the right job.

J. Gibson McIlvain
Founded in 1798, J. Gibson McIlvain has spent over two centuries sourcing exotic and domestic hardwoods, maintaining millions of board feet at their Maryland yard through direct relationships with mills and exporters around the world. Few suppliers carry that kind of history, or that kind of scale.
We started working with J. Gibson McIlvain when we set out to build an outdoor table and needed lumber that could hold up to harsh conditions, which led us to Afromosia. Bill Graefe recommended them for the job, and it’s where we’ll turn as we build out our outdoor line of furniture.
